Yes, Wealthy is my real name. My parents thought it was fitting because I was the first-born Laotian American in my family lineage.
After college, I started my early career as a graphic designer intern at Tiger Oak Media and The Late Majority, then I went on to work with various businesses around the Twin Cities as a freelance designer.
In 2018, my partner and I founded Light Codes Consulting and Design, a brand strategy and design agency. Our mission is to help our clients fully embody their story, mission and values through strategic design. Organizations I have worked with includes Target Corporation, Apple, Thomson Reuters, Yelp, Ivivva by Lululemon, House of Dance Twin Cities, Hoban Korean BBQ, Mi-Sant Banh Mi Co., Cypher Side, Longcheng Inc., Marc Heu Patisserie Paris, Taberna, Rah’MN and Betty Jo’s Dance Studio.
Outside of design, I’m a practitioner of the dance form called Breakin’ (commonly known as breakdance). I used to be an active member of the 1st Avenue Breakers for the Timberwolves and BRKFST Dance Company. I have also danced alongside the likes of Justin Timberlake, Montell Jordan and Vanilla Ice.
On a personal level, I love traveling, hiking, experimenting with art and attending concerts. I enjoy meeting new people and learning different perspectives. Feel free to connect with me.
